🧾 Legal & Contracts Overview
What Contracts Are Signed and When?
NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement): Signed at the very start to protect confidential information about our processes, tactics, and projects. This ensures everyone’s privacy and professionalism.
Track Agreement (Per Accepted Track): Signed once a track is accepted for pitching or licensing. It confirms that you fully own the track, that no unauthorized samples or loops are used, and sets the terms for collaboration with Astronic Media.
What Does the 50/50 Split Mean?
All revenue generated from sync deals—whether upfront sync fees, backend royalties, or publishing income—is shared equally:
50% to You (the Artist/Composer)
50% to Astronic Media
This fair split covers the team’s work pitching, negotiating, and managing your sync placements.
How Are Rights Handled?
Non-Exclusive Licensing: Most tracks are licensed on a non-exclusive basis. This means you can license the same track to multiple clients simultaneously or later on.
Exclusive Licensing: Occasionally, a client may request exclusive rights for a certain period or project. In these cases, the contract will specify the exclusivity terms, and the track cannot be licensed elsewhere during that time.
Ownership: You always retain full ownership of your music unless explicitly agreed otherwise in the contract. Astronic Media acts as your sync licensing partner and manager.
