Getting Started
Step 3: How Briefs Work
Step 3: How Briefs Work
Every month, we create and release new sync briefs tailored to current industry needs — from film and TV to ads, games, and branded content. Here’s how the process works:
🎯 Brief Assignment
Briefs are shared directly with you, based on the style of music you produce.
If you're interested in a different genre or type of project, feel free to request additional briefs at any time — flexibility is encouraged!
🕒 Deadlines & Submissions
Most briefs come with a submission deadline — please respect these timelines so we can pitch on time.
You decide how many tracks to submit. Submitting a full album (e.g., 6 tracks) gives you a higher chance of placement, but single submissions are also welcome.
📥 Feedback & Revisions
Upload your tracks directly in your artist channel on Discord.
Our team will review and provide feedback. If needed, we’ll suggest minor revisions before sending your music out.
🔁 Sync Process & Ownership
If we pitch your track and secure a placement, we’ll handle all the licensing and communication.
If a track isn’t used or signed, we’ll let you know and return it to you fully — you retain full ownership unless a deal is made.
💸 Splits & Royalties
All sync deals follow a 50/50 split between you (the artist) and Astronic Media. This includes upfront sync fees, backend royalties, and any additional income related to the placement.
